No, not bathing beauties in a frozen lake. The first two Common Blue Damselflies to appear at the garden pond. Glorious sunshine is bringing them out and making it easier to take a few decent photos.
All the time Penny was thinking, "Are we going walkies or are you going to mess around with that camera all day?"
Beautiful photos of the damselflies ~ good to hear you are experiencing sunshine...sure makes a difference, doesn't it! Penny looks very alert and certainly does want to go walkies. Perhaps you can mount a camera on her back, and we can go too ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you Glo. Brilliant sunshine helps all round.
DeleteNow don't go putting ideas in my head, though I do have a miniature camera, just need some way of mounting it - maybe on the muzzle?
I think Glos' idea would be grand "a walkabout with John and "Penny-cam".
Deleteme in minnesota
It's on the Round Tuit pile ;)
DeleteActually, some of the Met police dogs have a special web camera worn on top of the head. It was called something like W.O.L.V.E.S... wireless operated live vision....something. Perhaps you could rig one up for Penny!

ReplyDeleteHere you are John! you can get a head harness for her.
WOLVES - Wireless Operational Link and Video Exploration!
Thanks for the interesting link. The camera I have is small, designed for fitting to model helicopters. Fitting it to her narrow head might be a problem and the way she looks every which way while out I think the viewers would soon get a bout of motion sickness ;)
DeleteCould you tell us more about the 4 beads on her collar.
ReplyDeleteNot a lot to tell really. It was fitted at the rescue centre as it has a bell which is to give any cats which come in the garden a short advantage to get away. The greyhound is one of the few dogs fast enough to outrun a fleeing cat. The beads appear to be just for decoration.
